GETTING STARTED

Okay, I am seriously considering giving in to the pressure and beginning our family blog. As Justice is the focus of our family, and our family works constantly, it makes the most sense to have the blog focus on Justice and our business.

The Just Loaf Bakery is on Main Street in Beenleigh, Queensland. Our family business has been open for THREE YEARS, serving the local community with delicious breads free of preservatives AND ADDITIVES. We open our retail shop Tuesday - through Saturday, while our wholesale deliveries run Monday - Saturday.

We now employ an apprentice and a shop assistant in addition to Will and I both working full time.

Justice is our 2IC and he LOVES being Daddy's apprentice! He is quite skilled, and these days when customers ask him "Are you going to be a baker when you grow up?" he replies "I'm ALREADY a baker!"

His plan is to be a professor of medicine when he gets bigger. As he can identify how many bones we have, name some and explain the function and process of lungs and heart, I am really starting to believe him!

We all tumble along in this work driven life, Justice attends preschool across the street from our bakery three days a week, and "works" in the afternoons everyday. On his "off school" days he spends the morning home wearing out Daddy before coming to help in the shop (so Will can sleep). The bakery keeps us constantly busy, but has been doing really well. Wholesale business has been steadily growing the past month - almost to the point of booming, which is exciting and exhausting. We're just trying to keep up with it all!
