Sharona's 30th

Justice and I went out to lunch yesterday afternoon for Sharona's 30th birthday.

(We arranged a luncheon for around 20 at the Windaroo Tavern.)

OVER 30...

I had a really lovely birthday! Well, fast forward through the working 4AM - afternoon. Justice and Will walked into town while I was working, and I came home to yellow roses (still my favourite) and the latest Glee soundtrack (yes, I admit I am a Glee-k!). We had Chinese food and watched the 80's Karate Kid.

After the video Will went to bed, and Justice climbed into bed at 5 to read a novel (he is SO mine!) so I could get dolled up and head out to dinner with a group of girlfriends. We drove up to Mt Tamborine for dinner. It was the third annual Mt Tamborine Scarecrow Festival and we thought that it would be fun. We had dinner at The Bavarian Grill Haus, which is gorgeous, and the food was delicious! We had the best time, heaps of laughter and great conversation... By the end, we even loved the beer wench.

When Lenore finally found us we moved on to another restaurant where I shared an amazing dessert platter. Dessert platters and birthdays are the perfect combination. We even saw a partial eclipse... It was an incredible night. I am so grateful for the friendships I have been building. This year I really feel connected to this place in a way that I haven't before, and I know that that is due in large part to the friends I have made...
