Unexpected Complications...

Well, I have been planning on going in for surgery today for a while now. I lined up care for Justice, warned customers, set up voicemail so doing invoicing would be easier, had a garage sale so my house would be more orderly (HA!)...

Yesterday, while my house is not how I had hoped, some school assignments are hanging over my head, and we hadn't made a decision about home delivery, I still nonetheless felt like my ducks were generally in a row.

So less than 24 hours to go... and the hospital called. Surgery is now next Thursday... When my two closest friends are both away for the weekend... So I am trying to sort out care for Justice, retraining customers and scampering after my runaway ducks...

Ah, the joys of hospitals!

Backdated BIRTHDAY OUTING

For his birthday I gave Justice the option of picking two friends to do something fun with. He chose Sharona (lucky me) and Bella (his official class crush). We went out to dinner at Cafe Metzzo (a great cafe we supply at the Hyerdome - the closest mall) and after the ultra nutricious grilled chicken and chips we enjoyed some proffertjes with ice cream. Then we hit the toy shop before a big play at the indoor play centre (which DOES NOT allow photography - UGH). Even I had fun, and Justice loved all the presents (books, yeah!) he got.

***BIRTHDAY BOY***

THE BIRTHDAY BOY...

The crowd...

Justice will be turning six this week. SIX!

Where does the time go?

Everyone warns you how quickly it all flies by, but seriously...

Today was a pupil free day, and we scheduled Justice's birthday party. We did a Halloween themed party at the local duck pond where we ran around, rode scooters and bikes and did a scattered scavenger hunt. It was lovely for Justice to have so many friends show up to help him celebrate turning SIX!

Also, FYI - Friday night Justice had a recital. He has been taking guitar lessons and doing splendidly. (At the beginning of last term he was moved to the Year 2/3 group from his Prep/Year 1 group) I videoed, and can't upload, but hope to be able to do so soon (ie when Will can do it on his computer). Hopefully I will soon have some photos from Chantal.

Quest for Comfort

Hilarious...

Since he spends such an unbelievable amount of time on his feet,
Will is seeking some comfortable footwear,
and he has settled on the monkey look...
These shoes give me the giggles, but Will is really enjoying them.
Comfortable and heaps of health benefits... its almost as good as a vacation (Ha!)

Slice and dice

I had my pre-admission at the hospital today and all systems are go for the cesarean repair on October 29th. I'll be in hospital 3 days if all goes well and then 6 weeks of recovery. Hopefully we will be able to get through the down time OK.
